I got a catalog from the Book Mailer (seems somehow affiliated w/ Gary
Lafontaine, or at least used to be).

They offer tapered beads in bulk. Three sizes, four colors, at
$7.75/hundred!!!!
Haven't tried them, and have never purchased from these guys. Just thought
that people have been looking for beads in bulk for so long, I'd pass along
the info.

-Dan Bailey's has 100-packs of bead heads for $5.95. Almost all the
beads I now use were bought from them. Unfortunately, the DB web site
is not so good. Go to pages 14-16 in the Beads section.

-Not to go OT on roff but is there a chart of some sort that will
semi-accurately translate bead size to hook size?
-You will enjoy doing business with those guys. I have been a satisfied customer
of theirs for almost a decade now. My only problem is keeping book orders less
than a hundred bucks. They have never screwed up an order for me or backordered
anything.
